As one of the main components of the wind energy industry, the slewing bearing is often used in the heat treatment process to obtain a high service life due to its harsh working environment and expensive maintenance and time-consuming, so as to ensure a high service life of the slewing bearing.
The surface of the slewing bearing is quenched to a hardness of HRC 55-62, and the hardened layer is generally 3-5 mm. The conventional process uses a grinding process, but it is easy to cause surface burns or cracks. The machining industry has been looking for tool materials that can efficiently machine slewing bearings.
