1. Brazed PCBN inserts High Speed Cutting Hardened Steel Bearings
Bearing as one of the important parts of mechanical equipment, with its performance requirements more and more high. Bearing hardness after heat treatment is high and difficult to process, and the following problems often occur in traditional tool processing:
(1) When the traditional tool goes up, it will wear quickly and affect the production efficiency;
(2) Some parts of the bearing have intermittent cutting conditions, and the tool encounters intermittent parts and is easy to collapse, and the cost of the tool remains high;
(3) The slewing bearing in the wind industry has higher requirements on the wear resistance and impact toughness of the tool after heat treatment.
In the early days of machining with bearings using the turning and grinding process, the choice of conventional carbide inserts often caused rapid wear in the process. Frequent tool changes affected the production efficiency. Later, with the advent of ceramic inserts and PCBN inserts, it was replaced by hard alloys. The insert is used in the turning process of the bearing.
2. Why we Choose Brazed PCBN inserts High Speed Cutting Hardened Steel Bearings
In order to meet the advantages of high hardness and high wear resistance, many bearings are often obtained by heat treatment process. Some bearings have hardnesses up to HRC60, which poses great challenges to the wear resistance of cutting tools. For this, Halnn Tools introduced the BN-S20 grade and BN-H11 grade CBN cutters, which effectively solved the hot-hardened bearings.
The Halnn ToolsBN-S200 grade belongs to the Solid polycrystalline CBN tool, which not only overcomes the limitation of the cutting depth of the welded CBN tool, but also effectively avoids the risk of CBN tool failure and greatly improves the bearing production efficiency.
Halnn ToolsBN-H11 grades are inlaid CBN tools that exhibit excellent wear and heat resistance in hard turning bearings and guarantee dimensional accuracy and surface finish to Ra0.8.
