1. Halnn Tools PCBN Hard Turning Inserts for Turning 42CrMo4 Bearing steel materials Wind turbine bearing
Wind power bearings are often made of 42CrMo4 main material, and then subjected to the following steps for forging technology.
（1）Roughing: Forging type wind power bearings are processed, and carbide tools are selected for processing. For high hardness (above HRC454), Halnn Tools cubic boron nitride inserts can be selected to achieve a depth of 7.5mm. After that, there is a corresponding machining allowance for the subsequent finishing.
（2）Heat treatment: heat treatment of wind power bearings after roughing to improve the hardness, wear resistance and impact resistance of the workpiece, and obtain a good service life.
（3）Finishing: Finished machining of heat-treated workpieces. With the development of modern technology, surface roughness turning tools with accuracy requirements of Ra0.8 can meet the requirements.
2. Advantages os Halnn Tools PCBN Hard Turning Inserts
Bearing is the key basic component of machinery manufacturing industry and the core component of wind power generator. Due to the harsh environment and inconvenient installation and maintenance, the requirements for the quality and service life of the wind power bearing parts are more stringent.
At the beginning of the wind power bearing, since the hardness of the bearings is subjected to heat treatment after the rough machining, the hardness is high and difficult to be processed, and the grinding is commonly used as the final process step, but with the development of modern cutter industry, the tool material can be turned on the ground for grinding, and the boron nitride blade is developed. Instead of grinding processing, not only improve the processing efficiency, but also reduce the processing cost.
