Copper Conductor Shielded|Screened Control Cable with XLPE Insulation and STA SWA Armour or without Armour
1. Application for XLPE Insulation and Copper Conductor Shielded / Screened Control Cable
The XLPE Insulated Control cables are designed for connection wires of power distribution equip-ments for controlling, monitoring, protecting circuits with A .C. rated voltage 450/750V and below.
2. Manufacturing Standards for XLPE Insulation and Copper Conductor Shielded / Screened Control Cable
ASTM ICEA BS DIN IEC GB AS/NZS etc.
3. Operating Features for XLPE Insulation and Copper Conductor Shielded / Screened Control Cable
a). Rated voltage Uo/U is 450/750V.
b). Allowed continuous working temperature of conductor is 90℃
c). Installation temperature of cables should be no less than 0℃ . Bending radius should be not less than 12 times O.D. of cable.
d). Max. Temperature of conductor (Max. 5sec. duration) should be not more than 250℃ .
4. Main Technical Requirements for XLPE Insulation and Copper Conductor Shielded / Screened Control Cable
a). Conductor
Conductor construction and D.C.Resistance should be in accordance with table 3
b). Insulation
Insulated core can be identified with different colors and different numbers. The nominal thickness of insulation is 0.7mm. The thinnest point of insulation should be not less than.
90%-0.1mm of nominal value. The Min. resistance of insulation should be in accordance
c).Voltage
Finished cable should withstand voltage withstanding test with AC 50Hz,3000V,5 minutes.
d). Sheath thickness, approximate overall diameter,approximate weight of finshed cable.
