1. Product Overview

Boiler Plate is a special hot-rolled steel plate manufactured in strict accordance with dedicated pressure vessel standards. Designed for high-temperature, high-pressure and alternating load working conditions, Boiler Plate features excellent high-temperature stability, pressure resistance, low-temperature impact toughness and superior weldability. It serves as the core pressure-bearing material for industrial boilers, pressure vessels and thermal equipment. Our factory mainly supplies two major series: Ordinary Boiler Plate and High Strength Boiler Plate. Various grades of Boiler Plate can meet diverse pressure-bearing manufacturing requirements for medium and low-pressure industrial boilers, high-pressure power station boilers, chemical pressure vessels and heat exchange equipment. Adopting clean steel smelting, precise controlled rolling and cooling, and normalizing heat treatment technology, Boiler Plate has dense and uniform internal structure with low impurity content and outstanding pressure and fatigue resistance. It supports full-grade ultrasonic flaw detection and high-temperature mechanical property testing. Widely applied in power stations, petrochemical industry, thermal heating, pharmaceutical and light industry, and new energy equipment, Boiler Plate is an indispensable special safety steel material for the manufacturing of special pressure-bearing equipment.

2. Product Classification

According to material strength, applicable pressure grade and working temperature, Boiler Plate is mainly divided into two core categories, fully covering the manufacturing scenarios of high and low pressure, high and low temperature pressure-bearing equipment:

1. Ordinary Boiler Plate: Centered on Q245R grade, Ordinary Boiler Plate features reasonable carbon-manganese ratio, excellent weldability, good plastic formability and cost performance, and can stably withstand working temperatures below 450℃ for a long time. With stable performance and low brittle fracture risk,Ordinary Boiler Plate is mostly used for medium and low-pressure boiler drums, headers, steam pipelines, ordinary gas storage tanks and heat exchanger shells. It is the mainstream material for small and medium-sized thermal equipment manufacturing and a regular core plate for boiler accessory factories.

2. High Strength Boiler Plate: Represented by Q355R, High Strength Boiler Plate adopts alloy grain refinement technology to improve yield strength and pressure bearing limit. Its high temperature resistance, impact resistance and fatigue resistance are far superior to ordinary Boiler Plate, enabling it to adapt to harsh working conditions of high pressure, high temperature and alternating loads. High Strength Boiler Plate is mainly applied to key stress-bearing parts such as large power station boilers, high-pressure chemical vessels, hydrogenation reactors and thick-wall pressure-bearing equipment, serving as the preferred material for large heavy-duty pressure-bearing projects.

3. Special-purpose Boiler Plate: Including flaw-detected grade Boiler Plate, normalized high-temperature resistant Boiler Plate and low-temperature hydrogen embrittlement resistant boiler plate. Customization conforming to national, American and European standards is available, adapting to special pressure-bearing scenarios such as thick plate welding, low-temperature working conditions and strong corrosive media.

3. Implementation Standards & Material Grades

All Boiler Plate products are produced in strict compliance with special equipment steel specifications with accurate and controllable composition and qualified mechanical properties. We can provide complete material certificates, flaw detection reports and special equipment qualification documents, fully meeting the acceptance standards of domestic special equipment and export order requirements:

Implementation Standards: GB 713-2014 (core national standard for boiler and pressure vessel plates), GB/T 709; Foreign Trade Standards: EN 10028, ASTM A516, JIS G3115

Ordinary Boiler Plate Grades: Q245R, suitable for conventional medium and low-pressure boilers, ordinary pressure vessels, heat exchange equipment and steam pipeline pressure-bearing components

All high-end Boiler Plate supplied by our factory adopts normalizing heat treatment technology, which effectively eliminates rolling internal stress, uniformizes plate toughness and greatly improves pressure resistance stability. 4. Specification Parameters

4.1 Thickness Range

Conventional thickness: 6mm-150mm. Custom ultra-thin and ultra-thick special-specification Boiler Plate is available. Thin plates are suitable for head and inner lining processing, while medium and thick plates apply to high-pressure cylinders and main load-bearing pressure-bearing structures.

4.2 Width Range

Conventional width: 1500mm-4200mm with dimensional tolerance strictly following Class B/C high-precision deviation standards. Large-size whole plates reduce equipment splicing welds and improve pressure-bearing tightness.

4.3 Length Range

Conventional length: 3000mm-18000mm. Custom fixed and multiple non-standard lengths are supported to reduce secondary cutting loss and meet the blanking size requirements of various pressure-bearing equipment.

4.4 Surface & Delivery Condition

Delivered in hot-rolled black surface with flat plate surface free of bubbles, interlayers and cracks. Normalizing and controlled rolling delivery states are optional, supporting Grade 1/2/3 UT ultrasonic flaw detection and high-temperature performance testing. Anti-rust oil coating is available on demand, suitable for cutting, rolling, welding and groove finishing processing.

6. Main Application Scenarios

1. Industrial Boiler Manufacturing Industry: Boiler Plate is widely used for industrial boiler drums, water walls, economizers, headers and furnace pressure-bearing shells; Ordinary Boiler Plate is mostly applied to civil heating and small and medium-sized industrial boiler equipment.

7. Processing Methods

1. Flame / Plasma Cutting Processing: Boiler Plate can be precisely cut and blanked according to drawings to manufacture special-shaped pressure-bearing components such as cylinders, head flanges and equipment end covers, meeting the precision blanking requirements of equipment.

2. Rolling and Bending Processing: With excellent plasticity, Boiler Plate can be rolled into shapes to fabricate pressure vessel cylinders and pipeline tanks, and bent into various equipment brackets and pressure-bearing connecting plates.

3. Groove Welding Processing: Ordinary Boiler Plate and High Strength Boiler Plate can be groove-welded with beautiful weld formation and qualified strength, satisfying the sealing welding requirements of high-pressure equipment.

4. Heat Treatment Finishing: Secondary normalizing and tempering treatment can be performed on Boiler Plate to further optimize plate toughness and pressure resistance, adapting to ultra-high pressure and ultra-high temperature harsh working conditions.

8. Packaging, Quality Inspection & Delivery

1. Packaging Standard: Finished Boiler Plate is multi-point reinforced with steel strapping bands and supported by wooden battens at the bottom with professional anti-rust protection on the plate surface. Export orders adopt special marine packaging with moisture-proof, rain-proof and salt spray-proof performance to avoid corrosion and deformation during long-distance transportation.

2. Quality Inspection Guarantee: Each batch of Boiler Plate undergoes chemical composition analysis, tensile test, high-temperature mechanical property test and low-temperature impact test. UT ultrasonic non-destructive flaw detection is carried out on demand. We can provide original factory MTC material reports and special equipment qualification certificates, supporting authoritative third-party testing.

3. Delivery Cycle: Standard-specification Boiler Plate, Ordinary Boiler Plate and High Strength Boiler Plate are in sufficient stock and delivered within 3-7 working days; customized plates requiring heat treatment, flaw detection and ultra-thick non-standard processing are delivered within 10-15 working days.

4. Logistics Distribution: Support full-truck and LCL domestic transportation, and port docking for export shipment, adapting to various foreign trade terms such as FOB and CIF.

9. Storage & Usage Precautions

1. Boiler Plate shall be stored in a dry and ventilated indoor warehouse with height isolation from the ground. Outdoor exposure to rain and water immersion is strictly prohibited to prevent plate surface rusting and oxidation peeling, which may affect subsequent welding and flaw detection accuracy.

2. Ordinary Boiler Plate andHigh Strength Boiler Plate shall be stacked separately by grade, thickness and working condition grade with clear identification. Mixing and misapplication are strictly forbidden to avoid potential safety hazards caused by unqualified pressure-bearing equipment performance.

3. Special lifting tools must be used for handling Boiler Plate. Direct scratching and collision on the plate surface by steel wires are prohibited to prevent plate deformation and surface damage and ensure intact appearance and internal performance of the plate.

4. Select plates strictly according to equipment working conditions. Ordinary Boiler Plate is forbidden to replace High Strength Boiler Plate for high-pressure, high-temperature and continuous operation working conditions to eliminate risks of equipment high-temperature deformation and pressure leakage.

5. Welding of Boiler Plate must strictly follow special equipment welding process specifications. Process evaluation shall be conducted in advance for thick plate components to avoid welding stress concentration, lamellar tearing and other defects, ensuring pressure-bearing safety of equipment.
