Hot Rolled Coil is a coiled steel product processed from steel billets through heating, rough rolling and finish rolling, followed by laminar cooling and coiling. Hot Rolled Coil features excellent strength, toughness, weldability and formability, serving as a fundamental raw material for steel structure construction, mechanical manufacturing, welded pipe production and deep processing industries. Our factory mainly supplies two core series: Carbon Hot Rolled Coil and Alloy Hot Rolled Coil. Various grades ofHot Rolled Coil can meet diverse production requirements for structural fabrication, stamping, pipe making and component processing. Adopting mature continuous hot rolling technology, Hot Rolled Coil possesses uniform metallographic structure and stable mechanical properties. It can be further processed through leveling, slitting, pickling and cold rolling, and is widely applied in building steel structures, pipe processing, auto parts, engineering machinery, storage racks and hardware processing, enjoying huge market demand both domestically and overseas.

2. Product Classification

According to material composition, mechanical performance and processing purposes, Hot Rolled Coil is mainly divided into two core categories, covering most industrial processing scenarios:

1. Carbon Hot Rolled Coil: Carbon Hot Rolled Coil adopts ordinary carbon steel material with balanced mechanical properties, good plasticity, reliable weldability and outstanding cost performance. Carbon Hot Rolled Coil is widely used for steel structural parts, guardrails, ordinary welded pipes, hardware stamping and cabinet shells. It is also the primary raw material for cold rolling and pickling production lines, and a large number of downstream manufacturers choose Carbon Hot Rolled Coil for secondary deep processing.

2. Alloy Hot Rolled Coil: Based on carbon steel with added alloy elements, Alloy Hot Rolled Coil features higher yield strength, stronger bearing capacity and better impact resistance than ordinary Hot Rolled Coil. Alloy Hot Rolled Coil is ideal for heavy-load steel structures, engineering machinery parts, photovoltaic brackets, vehicle chassis and high-strength components, and is the preferred material for engineering projects with high strength requirements.

3. Special-purpose Hot Rolled Coil: Including stamping-grade Hot Rolled Coil and pipe-making dedicated Hot Rolled Coil. Custom processing such as pickling and annealing is available to adapt to deep stamping and high-pressure welded pipe working conditions.

4. Specification Parameters

4.1 Thickness Range

Conventional thickness: 1.5mm-25mm. Non-standard thin and thick gauge Hot Rolled Coil can be customized to adapt to different processing requirements.

4.2 Width Range

Conventional width: 600mm-2000mm with strictly controlled width tolerance. The Hot Rolled Coil can be slit into steel strips of various widths to improve material utilization.

4.3 Coil Weight & Inner Diameter

Single coil weight: 3-30 tons; Standard inner diameter: 508mm / 610mm. Custom split coils and small coils are available for convenient leveling and machine processing.

4.4 Surface & Delivery Condition

Delivered in hot rolled black surface condition; pickled and oiled surface treatment is also available. The Hot Rolled Coil features flat shape without severe warping, supporting leveling into hot rolled plates and longitudinal slitting processing.

7. Processing Methods

1. Leveling & Shearing Processing: Hot Rolled Coil can be leveled and sheared into fixed-size hot rolled steel plates for component cutting and blanking to meet flat material requirements.

2. Longitudinal Slitting Processing: Hot Rolled Coil can be slit into steel strips of different widths for pipe making, stamping and profile processing to improve material utilization.

3. Stamping & Bending Processing: Carbon Hot Rolled Coil is suitable for bending and general stamping forming to manufacture shells, boxes and support parts.

4. Pipe Rolling & Welding Processing: Steel strips slit from Hot Rolled Coil can be rolled and welded into various welded pipes, including water supply, gas transmission and scaffold steel pipes.

8. Packaging, Quality Inspection & Delivery

1. Packaging Standard: Finished Hot Rolled Coil is circumferentially reinforced with steel strips, and protective baffles are installed on coil ends to prevent edge damage during lifting and transportation. For export orders, rainproof and moisture-proof packaging is added to adapt to long-distance sea transportation.

2. Quality Inspection Guarantee: Each batch of Hot Rolled Coil undergoes chemical composition analysis, mechanical property tests and appearance inspection. We can provide original material certificates, MTC reports and support third-party testing such as SGS and BV.

3. Delivery Cycle: Standard-specificationHot Rolled Coil, Carbon Hot Rolled Coil and Alloy Hot Rolled Coil are in sufficient stock and delivered within 3-5 working days. Special grades, pickled products and customized specifications are delivered within 7-12 working days.

4. Logistics Distribution: Support full-truck and LCL transportation in China, as well as port docking and export shipment, adapting to international trade terms such as FOB and CIF.

9. Storage & Usage Precautions

1. Hot Rolled Coil has an oxide scale on the surface and is preferably stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse. Outdoor stacking must be covered with rainproof materials to avoid accelerated rusting and impaired processing quality.

2. Carbon Hot Rolled Coil and Alloy Hot Rolled Coil shall be stacked separately by grade and specification to avoid mixing and misapplication which may cause unqualified component performance after processing.

3. Special lifting tools shall be used for handling Hot Rolled Coil. Direct extrusion on coil edges by steel wires is prohibited to prevent coil deformation and edge chipping.

4. Select matching Hot Rolled Coil according to actual working conditions. Ordinary Carbon Hot Rolled Coil cannot replace Alloy Hot Rolled Coil for heavy-load and impact-resistant scenarios to avoid potential structural safety hazards.

5. For Hot Rolled Coil used in stamping and bending processing, verify the material elongation rate and control the bending radius during processing to prevent cracking at bending positions.
