1. Product Overview

Reinforced Steel Bar, also known as hot-rolled ribbed steel bar, is a special hot-rolled steel bar for concrete structures with spiral transverse ribs on the surface. The ribs greatly enhance the bonding force with concrete. Featuring high tensile strength, excellent elongation, superior seismic performance and good weldability & bendability, Reinforced Steel Bar serves as the core reinforcing material for concrete load-bearing structures in building construction, road & bridge, water conservancy and municipal infrastructure projects. Our factory mainly supplies two major series: Ordinary Reinforced Steel Bar and Seismic Reinforced Steel Bar. All specifications of Reinforced Steel Bar can adapt to various working conditions including ordinary civil buildings, high-rise buildings, bridge pile foundations, water conservancy dams, underground pipe corridors and high-intensity seismic projects. Adopting continuous casting billet integrated hot rolling technology, Reinforced Steel Bar features regular rib shapes, strict dimensional tolerances and clearly rolled brand & size marks on the surface. It supports deep processing such as cutting, bending, threading and welding, making it one of the most widely used construction steel products for domestic infrastructure and overseas civil engineering projects.

2. Product Classification

Classified by strength grade and seismic performance, Reinforced Steel Bar is divided into two core categories, covering most application scenarios of civil engineering, municipal, water conservancy and bridge projects:

1. Ordinary Reinforced Steel Bar: With HRB400 and HRB500 as core grades, Ordinary Reinforced Steel Bar has stable strength and high cost performance. As the most widely used Reinforced Steel Bar in the market, it is extensively applied in civil buildings, factory frames, municipal roads and secondary load-bearing components, suitable for conventional concrete structure projects without high seismic resistance requirements.

2. Seismic Reinforced Steel Bar: Seismic Reinforced Steel Bar adopts grades with suffix E, namely HRB400E and HRB500E, which meet dual seismic indicators of yield-to-tensile strength ratio and elongation. It has strong deformation capacity and avoids brittle fracture under seismic conditions. Seismic Reinforced Steel Bar is mostly used for high-rise buildings, bridge piers, water conservancy dams, high-intensity seismic buildings and key underground projects, complying with mandatory design requirements for seismic structures.

3. Special-purpose Reinforced Steel Bar: Including fine-grained Reinforced Steel Bar, wire rod coils and epoxy-coated Reinforced Steel Bar. Custom semi-finished processing such as fixed-length cutting, bending and threading is available to adapt to complex working conditions including corrosive environments and dense reinforcement layout.

3. Implementation Standards & Material Grades

All Reinforced Steel Bar products are manufactured in strict accordance with mandatory steel standards for reinforced concrete. Chemical composition, mechanical properties and seismic indicators are fully controlled. Complete MTC material test certificates can be provided to meet the acceptance requirements of domestic construction projects and export orders:

Implementation Standards: GB/T 1499.2-2018 Steel for Reinforced Concrete – Hot Rolled Ribbed Bars; International Standards: ASTM A615/A615M, BS 4449, JIS G3112
