1. Layer-by-Layer Cable Construction

  1. ConductorClass 2 stranded annealed plain copper conductor (BS 6360 / IEC 60228), low DC resistance, stable power transmission; tinned copper optional for anti-corrosion in damp/chemical environments. Single core adopts AWA Aluminium Wire Armour to avoid eddy current loss; multi-core uses SWA Galvanized Steel Wire Armour.

  2. XLPE Cross-linked Polyethylene InsulationGP8 grade XLPE insulation, long-term working temperature up to 90℃, short-circuit withstand temperature up to 280℃. Excellent dielectric performance, ultra-low dielectric loss, high insulation resistance, ageing-resistant and heat-resistant, carrying higher ampacity than traditional PVC insulated cables.

  3. PVC Bedding LayerExtruded PVC inner bedding cushions the armour layer, prevents armour piercing the insulation core during bending and installation, improves overall cable roundness and structural stability.

  4. Armour Layer (Core Protection Structure)

  • Multi-core: SWA Steel Wire Armour — strong resistance against compression, impact, heavy load crushing, rodent & termite gnawing

  • Single-core: AWA Aluminium Wire Armour — eliminates magnetic hysteresis loss, reduces heating under AC operation

  1. Outer SheathStandard black PVC outer sheath: UV-resistant, abrasion-resistant, moisture-proof, resistant to weak acid & alkali corrosion.Optional upgrade: LSZH low smoke zero halogen outer sheath for fire safety critical projects.

  2. Core Colour Coding

  • 2 core: Brown + Blue

  • 3 core: Brown / Black / Grey

  • 5 core: Brown/Black/Blue/Grey + Green/Yellow earth core

  • ≥7 cores: White cores with black sequential number printing, easy on-site termination & phase identification
