1. Product Overview
Prestressed steel strand is high-strength wire strand made of high-carbon wire rod through wire drawing, stranding and stabilization treatment. The 7-wire structure is widely adopted, featuring high tensile strength, low relaxation, stable elongation and good toughness. It is the core material for prestressed concrete projects and can be matched with anchorages and clamps. We keep various sizes in stock and deliver goods from Tianjin Port within 5–7 working days for regular specifications. Original mill test certificates, mechanical test reports and third-party SGS inspection documents are available.

3. Product Classification
3.1 Ordinary Low-Relaxation Prestressed Steel Strand (Mainstream)
Standard 7-wire structure with stress relief stabilization, low residual relaxation and tiny deformation under long-term load. Common sizes: Φ9.53mm, Φ12.7mm, Φ15.2mm, Φ17.8mm Applications: Highway bridges, viaduct box girders, building floor slabs, prestressed concrete pipe piles, tunnel lining
3.2 Compacted Steel Strand
Compressed by die drawing with dense cross-section, smaller outer diameter and high filling factor for superior anchoring performance. Applications: Large bridges, nuclear power projects, long-span prestressed structures
3.3 Galvanized Steel Strand
Hot-dip galvanized surface for rust and corrosion resistance, suitable for outdoor, coastal and humid corrosive environments. Applications: Overhead power ground wire, slope protection, external bridge tendons, wharf supporting engineering
3.4 Unbonded Steel Strand
Steel strand wrapped with PE sheath and filled with anti-corrosion lubricating grease inside, no grouting required after construction. Applications: High-rise building floor slabs, underground garage roof, small municipal prestressed projects

Raw material: 82B high carbon wire rod for wire drawing
Standard tensile strength: 1720MPa, 1860MPa, 1960MPa (Grade 1860 is most widely used)
High carbon wire specially for galvanized strands with low impurity and uniform mechanical properties

Standard coil weight: 1.0 ton ~ 3.5 tons, small coils available upon request
Length: Continuous length per coil, custom cut-to-size available
Optional surface treatment
Bright bare strand: Standard phosphated lubricated black surface for embedding in concrete
Hot-dip galvanized strand: Zinc coating thickness meets national anti-corrosion standard
Unbonded type: Covered with high-density black PE sheath, filled with internal anti-rust grease

7. Packing, Shipment & Trade Terms
Export packing: Each coil wrapped with VCI anti-rust film and outer waterproof plastic sheet, fixed with steel strapping; loaded on fumigated wooden pallets to avoid rust during sea transportation
Marking: Label attached on each coil showing size, strength grade, net weight, heat batch number and applicable standard
Loading Ports: Tianjin Port, Qingdao Port
Lead time: 5–7 days for stock goods; 7–15 days for customized galvanized & unbonded strands
Payment Term: 30% TT deposit, balance TT against copy of bill of lading; LC not accepted
Trade Term: FOB, CIF, CFR, EXW negotiable

9. Pre-Delivery Inspection Items
Dimension & visual inspection: Nominal diameter, lay length, wire surface condition, PE sheath thickness (for unbonded strands)
Mechanical test: Ultimate tensile strength, yield load, elongation after fracture, 1000-hour low relaxation test
Special test for galvanized strands: Zinc coating weight, adhesion strength, salt spray anti-corrosion test
Optional test: Spectrum chemical analysis, third-party SGS certification inspection
Shipping documents: Mill test certificate, factory inspection report and complete customs clearance documents delivered together with goods
