1. Service Overview
RCM certification is a mandatory market access qualification for radio frequency devices entering Australia and New Zealand. Classified as high-risk radio equipment by ACMA, all walkie-talkies require integrated compliance of radio RF, EMC and electrical safety. Valid RCM registration is compulsory for product import, local sales and official market inspections.

2. Standard RCM Certification Process
We adopt a standardized and efficient workflow to shorten lead time and ensure fully compliant registration:
Pre-Consultation & Risk Evaluation: Confirm walkie-talkie frequency band, transmit power and electrical parameters, clarify high-risk product compliance rules and formulate targeted test schemes.
Document Preparation & Pre-Audit: Guide clients to prepare user manuals, circuit diagrams, BOM list, label drawings and technical declarations, and conduct full pre-audit to avoid filing rejection.
Sample Submission & Verification: Check sample integrity, functional consistency and supporting accessories to meet NATA laboratory test requirements.
Full-Item Lab Testing: Complete RF performance, electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety tests covering frequency error, output power, spurious emission, radiation interference and safety durability.
Test Report Generation & Review: Issue official compliant test reports, verify all data indicators, and provide professional rectification for unqualified items.

3. Testing & Certification Cycle
Under normal test conditions without failures, the total RCM certification cycle is 15–22 working days, with detailed phased schedules as follows:

RF, EMC & safety full testing: 6–8 working days
Report sorting & technical file compilation: 2–3 working days

4. Test Sample Requirements
Sample Quantity: 2–3 original brand-new walkie-talkie units per model for formal testing and verification.
Product Status: Samples must be intact finished products with standard factory firmware and complete functions; no modified, disassembled or defective samples are accepted.
Supporting Accessories: Equipped with original matched antennas, batteries and chargers consistent with official product configurations.
Label Requirement: Samples shall be marked with compliant RCM logo, complete model info, manufacturer details and technical parameters; old C-Tick marks are prohibited.
5. Important Testing & Certification Notes
Walkie-talkie RF parameters, EMC performance and electrical safety must fully comply with Australian AS/NZS standards; out-of-spec indicators will cause test failure and registration rejection.
All technical documents, parameter declarations and test data must be 100% consistent with physical samples to avoid EESS filing invalidation.
No unauthorized hardware replacement, firmware flashing or parameter adjustment is allowed during testing, which will void all test data.
RCM registration is model-specific. Any change in product structure, frequency parameters or accessories requires retesting and re-registration.
Product manuals must contain mandatory Australian standard warning statements to meet official compliance requirements.
Test failures caused by parameter non-compliance require sample rectification and retesting, which will extend the overall certification cycle.
