The Beckhoff EL6910 TwinSAFE Logic Terminal is an advanced safety controller used in EtherCAT-based automation systems to implement complex machine safety functions.
It acts as a central or distributed safety logic unit, processing safety inputs and outputs from TwinSAFE terminals such as EL1904 (inputs) and EL2904 (outputs). It replaces simpler logic controllers like EL6900 by adding enhanced computing capability and support for more advanced safety functions including analog signal evaluation.
