The Beckhoff EL3314-0090 is a high-performance EtherCAT thermocouple input terminal designed for precise temperature acquisition in industrial automation systems. The module supports direct connection of up to four thermocouple sensors and performs automatic linearization over the complete temperature range. Internal cold junction compensation ensures accurate temperature measurements without requiring external compensation devices.
The terminal supports a wide range of thermocouple types including K, J, T, E, N, R, S, B, C, L, and U, making it suitable for diverse industrial processes. Integrated wire-break detection helps improve system reliability and maintenance efficiency. In addition to temperature measurement, the module can also be used for millivolt signal acquisition.
A key advantage of the EL3314-0090 is its TwinSAFE SC (Single Channel) functionality, allowing standard temperature signals to be integrated into safety-related applications while maintaining standard I/O performance. This makes the terminal particularly suitable for machine safety, furnace monitoring, energy systems, and critical process control applications.
