Pre-Assembled 18-Drawer Slide Cabinet for Pathology Labs — OEM Available, Ships Fully Built Worldwide
Product Overview
This 18-drawer slide cabinet is our flagship pathology storage model. Fully assembled at the factory before shipping — hospitals can put it to use the moment it arrives, no on-site assembly needed.
18 drawers hold approximately 14,000 glass slides. For a mid-size hospital pathology lab processing 50-80 slides per day, that's 3-5 years of storage on one cabinet. The body is built from cold-rolled steel with electrostatic powder coating, and the base is stainless steel — built to handle the moisture and chemical exposure that comes with lab work.
We've been making pathology cabinets for over a decade. Our products ship to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. OEM and custom options are available — reach out and we'll talk details.
Why We Ship Fully Assembled
We get asked this a lot. Shipping fully assembled costs more on freight. There's a reason we do it anyway.
Hospitals don't have people to assemble cabinets.
We've seen it happen — a hospital receives a cabinet that needs assembly, the facilities team spends half a day putting it together, the rails are slightly misaligned, drawers don't glide right, and they call us for remote help. That back-and-forth takes a week. Meanwhile, the pathologists still don't have a place for their slides.
So we decided: ship fully assembled, every time. A bit more on shipping, but zero time wasted on the receiving end.
Five Things We Do Differently
① Stainless Steel Base, Not Painted Steel
Lab floors get wet. A painted steel base starts rusting in 2-3 years, and rust spreads up into the cabinet body. Our base is stainless steel — it doesn't rust, it doesn't wick moisture from the floor. Nothing fancy, just practical. We shipped a batch in 2019 and a customer told us last year the bases were still in perfect shape.
② Cold-Rolled Steel Drawer Rails, Not Plastic
Budget cabinets use plastic rails or thin stamped steel. Load them up with slides and the rails sag over time. Drawers start sticking. Ours are cold-rolled steel — load-rated, smooth-gliding. You won't notice the difference on day one. You'll notice it in year three.
③ 18 Drawers, Not 12 or 24
12 isn't enough capacity. 24 puts the top row too high to reach. We talked to about a dozen hospitals before settling on 18 — the top drawer is easy to reach standing up, the bottom drawer is easy to reach bending down. Counter height. No stool needed.
④ Vertical Storage to Protect Slides
Drawers have vertical dividers — slides stand upright, labels facing out. When you pull one slide, you don't scrape the tissue on the one next to it. Some manufacturers stack slides horizontally. You save space, but you risk scratching the specimen. We chose the safer layout on purpose.
⑤ Pre-Assembled, Ready Out of the Box
Fully assembled at the factory, wrapped securely, shipped. The customer unpacks it, positions it, and it's ready. Not a premium feature — it's just how we've always done it.

Who Uses This Cabinet
Hospital Pathology Departments — the bulk of our customers. Steady daily slide output, need reliable long-term storage. Several Grade A hospitals in China use this model and report no issues.
Third-Party Lab Chains — one lab might need 20-30 cabinets at once. They care about capacity and durability because the volume is huge and downtime isn't an option.
Forensic Labs — long-term evidence storage. Many choose our locking models, but some use this standard version and add their own security.
Medical Universities — teaching slides need to be organized and accessible. Drawer smoothness matters more here because students are heavy users.
FAQ
Q: Do you ship overseas? Won't fully assembled cabinets cost a lot in freight? A: We ship to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The packaging is moisture-proof film + edge protectors + wooden crate — designed for 40-day ocean freight. If you have a forwarder, we work with them. If you need a recommendation, just ask.
Q: What's the lead time? Our hospital renovation has a tight deadline. A: Standard lead time is 15-20 days. If you're on a tight schedule, let us know — we prioritize urgent orders. A Philippines client once needed delivery in a week, and we made it happen.
Q: What about warranty? What if a drawer rail fails? A: The cabinet body is covered for 3 years, drawer rails for 1 year. Rails are normal-wear parts, but under normal use they'll last well past year one. If something does go wrong, we ship replacement parts and walk you through the fix remotely.
Q: Can I get custom dimensions? Our lab space doesn't match the standard size. A: Yes, we can discuss it. Dimensions, drawer count, and locks can be adjusted. Send us your requirements, we'll assess feasibility and get back to you with a quote.
Q: What does OEM include? We need our logo and custom packaging. A: OEM covers silkscreen logo, custom packaging, and custom manuals. If you have packaging artwork in AI format, we use it directly. Minimum order volume and pricing — let's talk about your specific needs, I won't put numbers here that may not fit your case.
