Product Overview
This 5-drawer slide drying cabinet is an essential piece of equipment in the pathology slide preparation workflow.
Freshly cut slides carry reagents and moisture. If you put them straight into a sealed storage cabinet, they stick together and grow mold. A drying cabinet gives wet slides a well-ventilated environment so they dry completely before being transferred to long-term slide storage.
5 drawers hold approximately 1,320 slides in the horizontal configuration, and up to 12,960 in the vertical layout. The body is cold-rolled steel with electrostatic powder coating, and the base is stainless steel for moisture protection. Drawers feature ventilation openings — air circulates freely, and slides dry faster.

Why a Drying Cabinet Is Not Optional
We've talked to a lot of pathology labs. A common pattern: they buy a slide cabinet, skip the drying cabinet, and put wet slides directly into storage. A few months later, they open a drawer and smell mold. Slides are ruined — the tissue is no longer readable. The lab has to cut new sections and start over. What they saved on not buying a drying cabinet, they lost in technician hours.
A drying cabinet isn't optional. It's a standard part of the slide preparation workflow.
Here's the basic rule: drying cabinets need airflow. Storage cabinets need to be sealed. You can't use one for the other job.
Some customers were using a drying cabinet as a storage cabinet simply because it was what they could buy. So we designed our drying drawers with proper ventilation — bottom and back panels have built-in air openings. The air flows through, and slides dry in hours, not days.
Five Things We Do Differently
① Ventilated Drawers, Not Solid Bottoms
Standard cabinet drawers have solid bottoms. Air doesn't move. Our drying drawers have ventilation openings on the bottom and back panels — moisture escapes naturally. Same batch of wet slides: in our cabinet, they're dry in under 12 hours. In a solid-bottom cabinet, 24+ hours and some still aren't fully dry.
② Fully Assembled, Every Shipment
Ships fully assembled — domestic and international. The cabinet is assembled and tuned at the factory. The customer unpacks and positions it. No on-site assembly required. Packaging is moisture-proof film + edge protectors + wooden crate, safe for 40-day ocean freight. We don't want customers spending time on assembly after receiving the product.
③ Stainless Steel Base, Moisture-Resistant
Pathology labs are humid. A drying cabinet sits in the processing area, next to tissue processors and stainers — chemical vapors in the air, water on the floor. A painted steel base starts rusting within six months. Our base is stainless steel. Moisture from the floor doesn't reach the cabinet.
④ Horizontal or Vertical — Two Configurations
The 450 Series is horizontal, holds ~1,320 slides. Best for labs with lower daily slide output. The 515 Series is vertical, holds ~12,960 slides. Best for high-volume labs. Which one fits depends on your daily slide volume.
⑤ Custom Sizes, No Tooling Fee
Many manufacturers charge thousands for a new mold when you need a different size. We don't work that way — our folding, bending, and cutting parameters are adjustable. Send us your required dimensions. We assess feasibility and quote directly. No tooling fee upfront.

Who Uses This Cabinet
Hospital Pathology Labs — the primary users. Daily drying-storage workflow. Without this cabinet, the workflow stalls.
Third-Party Lab Chains — high slide throughput. Drying and storage cabinets must work together. One without the other creates a bottleneck.
Medical University Teaching Labs — heavy slide volume for student training. Students prepare slides, dry them, and store them. Good ventilation speeds up turnaround.
Small Clinics & Diagnostic Centers — lower slide output, limited space. The 450 horizontal configuration is compact enough for benchtop use.
FAQ
Q: Can I use a drying cabinet as a storage cabinet? A: Not recommended. A drying cabinet needs airflow. A storage cabinet needs to be sealed. They serve opposite purposes. Wet slides in a sealed cabinet grow mold. Dry slides in a ventilated cabinet collect dust and debris. Use each for its intended job.
Q: Do you ship fully assembled overseas? Won't freight be expensive? A: Yes, we ship fully assembled. Packaging is moisture-proof film + edge protectors + wooden crate, safe for ocean freight. If you have a preferred forwarder, we work with them. If you need a recommendation, just ask.
