When the new transparent nucleating agent Millad NX8000i (or K) from Milliken is added to polypropylene, it results in greater transparency, enabling polypropylene to compete with other transparent plastics!
When Millad NX8000i (or K) is added to polypropylene plastic, the transparency of the polypropylene appears similar to that of polystyrene and polycarbonate, thus making it possible to replace the material.
The advantages of Millad NX8000i (or K) in the application of polypropylene injection molding products are mainly reflected in the following three aspects:
1. Increase transparency, reducing the haze of transparent products by nearly half compared to those using Millad 3988i nucleating agent.
The haze of products of different thicknesses is almost reduced by half.
Significantly widens the processing range, making the haze consistent under various operating conditions.
2. Broaden the processing window, with a wider processing temperature range.
Good haze can be obtained under various conditions.
3. Shorten the molding cycle.
Higher crystallization temperature, shorter molding cycle, and a 5-10% increase in production capacity.
Product Application
Improves the transparency of extrusion blow molding products and broadens the processing window of extrusion blow molding
· Millad NX8000i(K) significantly enhances the appearance of extrusion injection molded products
Significantly improves the shape of extrusion injection molded bottles, thereby widening the application of transparent polypropylene in the field of extrusion injection molding
Significantly improves haze and glossiness
· Millad NX8000i (or K) has a typical random copolymer hardness/impact resistance balance
Hardness slightly increases, impact resistance is not affected
Hardness increases slightly under low-temperature operation conditions, impact resistance is not affected
· Millad NX8000i (or K) has excellent stability during oxidation cracking
Excellent repeat processing stability, suitable for recycling
· Millad NX8000i (or K) has similar properties to Millad 3988i
Dosage amount
The typical dosage amount for MilladNX8000i (or K) is 0.1 phr, which represents the amount of resin added.
