Steel Pipe & Tube & Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Pipe,GB/T 3091-2015、GB/T 13793-2016
I. Product Definition
Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Pipe, also known as hot dipped galvanized steel pipe, uses ordinary welded steel pipe or seamless steel pipe as the base material. After a series of pre-treatment processes such as surface degreasing, pickling, water washing, fluxing, and drying, the steel pipe is immersed in molten zinc liquid at 440-460℃. The surface of the steel pipe undergoes a chemical reaction with the zinc liquid to form an alloyed zinc layer (zinc-iron alloy layer + pure zinc layer) anti-corrosion steel pipe. The zinc layer is closely combined with the steel pipe base material, not easy to fall off, and can effectively isolate corrosive media such as air and moisture, significantly extending the service life of the steel pipe.
II. Core Product Features
(1) Excellent Anti-Corrosion and Anti-Rust Performance
The zinc layer on the surface of the steel pipe has a good electrochemical protection effect. It can not only isolate the contact between corrosive media such as air, moisture, acid and alkali and the steel pipe base material, but also protect the steel pipe body through the sacrificial anode effect of zinc when the zinc layer is damaged, effectively preventing the steel pipe from rusting and corrosion. In the ordinary atmospheric environment, the service life of hot dip galvanized steel pipe can reach 20-50 years, without frequent maintenance, which greatly reduces the use cost.
(2) Excellent Mechanical Properties
The base material is made of high-quality carbon structural steel or alloy structural steel, which has high strength, high toughness, good compression resistance, bending resistance and impact resistance. It can bear a certain pressure and load, and adapt to the installation and use needs of different scenarios. The hot dip galvanizing process will not damage the mechanical properties of the base material, but can also improve the surface hardness of the steel pipe to a certain extent.
(3) Flat Surface and Strong Adhesion
After strict pre-treatment and high-temperature hot dipping process, the zinc layer uniformly covers the inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe, without defects such as missing plating, peeling, and bubbles, with a flat and smooth surface and uniform color. The zinc layer is closely combined with the steel pipe base material, has strong adhesion, is not easy to fall off or crack, and can adapt to subsequent processing operations such as cutting, welding, and bending without affecting the anti-corrosion effect.
(4) Diverse Specifications and Wide Adaptability
According to the needs of use scenarios, hot dip galvanized steel pipes of different diameters, wall thicknesses and materials can be produced, including welded pipes, seamless pipes, spiral pipes, straight seam pipes and other types. The diameter ranges from 15mm to 630mm, and the wall thickness can be flexibly customized, adapting to various scenarios such as building scaffolding, fire-fighting pipes, water supply and drainage, and gas transmission.
(5) Convenient Construction and High Cost-Effectiveness
The surface of hot dip galvanized steel pipe is smooth, which is not easy to produce friction loss during installation. It can be installed by various methods such as welding, thread connection and flange connection, with high construction efficiency. Compared with other anti-corrosion treatments (such as painting and spraying), the hot dip galvanizing process is formed at one time, with long anti-corrosion life and low maintenance cost, and its comprehensive cost-effectiveness is outstanding, making it the preferred product for various anti-corrosion scenarios.

V. Applicable Application Scenarios
With excellent anti-corrosion performance and mechanical properties, hot dip galvanized steel pipes are widely used in many industries, including construction, municipal administration, fire protection, industry, agriculture and other fields. The specific applications are as follows:
Construction Field: Used for building scaffolding, support frames, steel structure columns, wall embedded pipes, etc. It is anti-corrosion and anti-rust, can adapt to outdoor humid environments, and extend the service life of buildings.
Fire Protection Field: As a special pipe material for fire sprinkler pipes and fire hydrant pipes, it has good compression resistance and anti-corrosion performance, ensuring that the pipes are unobstructed in case of fire and guaranteeing fire safety.
Water Supply and Drainage Field: Used for civil and industrial water supply pipes and drainage pipes, which can effectively prevent water pollution and pipe corrosion, and adapt to the transportation of media such as tap water and sewage.
Gas Field: Used for low-pressure gas transmission pipelines. The zinc layer can effectively isolate corrosive media, prevent gas leakage, and ensure safe use (must meet the special standards for gas pipelines).
Industrial Field: Used for fluid transport pipelines, equipment supports, chemical pipelines, etc. in industrial production. It can adapt to corrosive scenarios such as acid-base and humidity in industrial environments, and improve the stability of equipment operation.
Agricultural Field: Used for farmland irrigation pipelines, greenhouse supports, etc. It is resistant to outdoor wind and rain erosion, has a long service life, and reduces the maintenance cost of agricultural production.
Municipal Field: Used for urban road drainage, municipal pipe networks, street lamp supports, etc. It adapts to complex outdoor environments and reduces the maintenance frequency and cost of municipal facilities.
VI. Quality Standards and Testing
1. Executive Standard: Strictly produced in accordance with national and industry standards such as GB/T 3091-2015 and GB/T 13793-2016 to ensure that product quality meets regulatory requirements.
2. Testing Items: Each batch of products has undergone strict testing, mainly including: base material chemical composition testing, zinc layer thickness testing, surface quality testing, dimensional accuracy testing, water pressure test (to ensure no leakage of pipes), adhesion testing (to ensure the zinc layer does not fall off), etc.
3. Quality Commitment: Unqualified products are strictly prohibited from leaving the factory. All products are provided with quality inspection reports to ensure that the products meet the use requirements. If losses are caused by product quality problems, returns and exchanges can be handled in accordance with the contract.
VII. Storage and Transportation Notes
(1) Storage Requirements
Store in a dry, ventilated and cool warehouse to avoid moisture, rain and exposure to the sun, preventing the zinc layer from oxidizing and discoloring; the warehouse floor should be flat and dry, and moisture-proof mats can be laid to avoid direct contact between the steel pipe and the ground.
Steel pipes should be stacked neatly, and the stacking height should not be too high to avoid deformation of the lower steel pipes due to pressure; steel pipes of different diameters and wall thicknesses should be stacked separately and marked clearly for easy management and access.
Avoid mixing with corrosive substances such as acid, alkali and salt to prevent the zinc layer from being corroded and affecting the anti-corrosion effect; regularly inspect during storage, and timely perform touch-up plating if the zinc layer is damaged.
(2) Transportation Requirements
During transportation, the steel pipes must be fixed firmly to avoid collision and friction, preventing the zinc layer from being scratched and falling off; special transport vehicles can be used, fixed with steel wire ropes, wooden wedges, etc. to ensure transportation safety.
Avoid transportation in bad weather such as rainy days, snowy days and heavy fog to prevent the steel pipes from getting damp and the zinc layer from oxidizing; if transportation is necessary, rainproof and moisture-proof measures (such as covering with rain cloth) should be taken.
Lift and place gently during loading and unloading, use special spreaders to avoid damage to the ends and surface of the steel pipes; during transportation, avoid contact between the steel pipes and sharp objects to prevent surface scratches.
