I. Product Definition
Color Coated Steel Coil (Pre-painted Steel Coil, PPGI/PPGL), also known as colored coated steel coil, takes hot-dip galvanized (GI) and galvalume (GL) steel sheets as the main base materials, and some can use cold-rolled steel sheets as the base material. After pre-treatment processes such as surface degreasing, water washing, phosphating, and passivation to remove impurities and oxide layers on the surface of the base material and enhance coating adhesion, professional roller coating equipment is used to uniformly apply environmentally friendly organic coatings (primer, topcoat, and clear coat can be added) on the surface of the base material, which is then cured by high-temperature baking to form a dense, wear-resistant and weather-resistant colored coating, and finally rolled into shape. The coating is closely combined with the base material, not easy to fall off or fade. It not only retains the mechanical strength of steel, but also endows the product with rich colors and excellent corrosion resistance and weather resistance, greatly expanding the application scenarios of steel.
II. Core Product Features
(1) Excellent Corrosion and Weather Resistance
The base material of the color coated steel coil itself has a corrosion-resistant foundation of galvanizing/galvalume. Combined with the double protection of the surface organic coating, it can effectively isolate the contact between corrosive media such as air, moisture, acid and alkali and the base material, preventing the base material from rusting and corrosion. The coating adopts weather-resistant paint, which has excellent UV resistance, anti-aging and anti-fading capabilities. In harsh outdoor environments (high temperature, rain and snow, wind and sand), the service life can reach 15-30 years, without frequent maintenance, greatly reducing the use cost.

After strict pre-treatment, roller coating and baking processes, the coating uniformly covers the surface of the base material, without defects such as missing coating, sagging, bubbles and scratches. The coating is closely combined with the base material, has strong adhesion, is not easy to fall off or peel, and can adapt to subsequent processing operations without affecting the corrosion resistance and decorative effect of the product.

VI. Quality Standards and Testing
1. Executive Standard: Strictly produced in accordance with national and industry standards such as GB/T 12754-2019 and GB/T 2518-2019 to ensure that product quality meets regulatory requirements, and can be adapted to international standards according to customer needs.
2. Testing Items: Each batch of products has undergone strict testing, mainly including: base material chemical composition testing, base material thickness testing, coating thickness testing, adhesion testing (to ensure the coating does not fall off), weather resistance testing, corrosion resistance testing, surface quality testing, dimensional accuracy testing, etc.

VII. Storage and Transportation Notes
(1) Storage Requirements
Store in a dry, ventilated and cool warehouse to avoid moisture, rain, exposure to the sun and high temperature, preventing the coating from oxidizing, fading and peeling; the warehouse floor should be flat and dry, and moisture-proof mats should be laid to avoid direct contact between the steel coil and the ground, preventing the base material from getting damp and rusting.
Steel coils should be stacked neatly, and the stacking height should not be too high to avoid deformation and coating wear of the lower steel coils due to pressure; color coated steel coils of different specifications, colors and base materials should be stacked separately and marked clearly for easy management and access.
Avoid mixing with corrosive substances such as acid, alkali and salt to prevent the coating from being corroded and discolored; regularly inspect during storage, and timely repair if the coating is damaged or scratched to avoid corrosion spread.
(2) Transportation Requirements
During transportation, the steel coils must be fixed firmly to avoid collision, friction and extrusion, preventing the coating from being scratched, falling off and damaged; special transport vehicles should be used, fixed with steel wire ropes, wooden wedges, etc. to ensure transportation safety and avoid steel coil rolling.
Avoid transportation in bad weather such as rainy days, snowy days, heavy fog and high temperature to prevent the coating from getting damp, oxidizing and fading; if transportation is necessary, rainproof, moisture-proof and sun-proof measures should be taken (such as covering with rain cloth and sunshade cloth).
Lift and place gently during loading and unloading, use special spreaders to avoid contact between the steel coil surface and sharp objects, preventing the coating from being scratched; during loading and unloading, avoid damage to the ends of the steel coil, which will affect subsequent processing and use.
