Heavy duty shelving, also known as beam shelving or location shelving, belongs to the pallet shelving category and is a common form of shelving in various storage shelving systems in China. The fully assembled structure in the form of column pieces and crossbeams is concise and effective. Heavy-duty racking, commonly known as beam racking or pallet racking, falls under the category of pallet storage systems and is one of the most prevalent racking forms in various warehouse storage systems domestically. It features a fully assembled structure consisting of upright frames and beams, offering a simple and effective design. Functional accessories such as dividers, steel decking (steel grating), wire mesh decking, storage cage guides, and drum racks can be added based on the characteristics of the storage unit handling equipment, meeting the storage needs of various unitized load devices.
Key Features of Heavy-Duty Racking:
1. Goods are typically stored on the racking after being unitized on pallets, storage cages, or other handling devices. Each unit load generally weighs up to 4000kg, with two units commonly stored per level.
2. It is one of the most common and widely used racking types, suitable for the vast majority of warehouses or product storage applications.
3. Offers random access to goods. Handling machinery such as forklifts can reach any storage location for storage operations, making the process convenient and efficient!
4. Storage operations are performed using mechanical handling equipment.
5. The span of a single racking unit is typically within 4m, with a depth within 1.5m. The height for low- and high-level warehouse racking is generally within 12m, while overall warehouse racking height can be up to 30m (such warehouses are typically automated, with total height achieved by stacking multiple upright sections under 12m each).
6. Allows for free adjustment of each level's height in increments of 75mm.
