Attic shelving (also known as mezzanine shelf or steel structure platforms) are multi-layer storage systems that utilize the vertical space of warehouses. They are usually built with steel structures and are suitable for scenarios where small and medium-sized goods are stored, picked, or where office and warehousing are combined.
Attic shelving is a storage system that utilizes the upper level space of a warehouse to build multiple storage platforms. By adding a middle attic on top of existing shelves or workspaces, it achieves efficient utilization of vertical space and significantly increases storage capacity.
1、 Core Structure and Composition
The attic shelves are mainly composed of the following components:
Column and crossbeam: As the main supporting structure, column pieces and crossbeams of medium or heavy-duty shelf shelves are usually used.
Floor slabs: commonly used cold-rolled steel floor slabs, patterned steel plates, or steel grating plates, which have the advantages of strong load-bearing capacity, smooth surface, and easy locking.
Auxiliary facilities: including stairs, guardrails, elevators, conveying equipment, etc., to ensure the safety of personnel access and cargo transportation.
2、 Main features
High space utilization rate
By designing 2-3 floors without expanding the warehouse, the storage area can be doubled, especially suitable for warehouses with a floor height of ≥ 4.5 meters.
Fully assembled structure
No on-site welding is required, bolted connection is used, easy to install and disassemble, and supports flexible modification and relocation.
Moderate carrying capacity, convenient classified storage
The floor load capacity is generally 300-1000kg/㎡, suitable for storing light foam, small and medium-sized goods such as electronic components, automotive parts, clothing accessories, etc.
Widely applicable scenarios
Widely used in e-commerce warehousing, automobile 4S stores, light industry, electronics, machinery and other industries, and also commonly used in old warehouse renovation projects.
