1. Machine purpose
This machine is primarily a multifunctional shot blasting and cleaning equipment suitable for small and medium-sized workpieces that cannot be collided or rolled. It is capable of applying strong shot blasting to the surface of workpieces in their original state, removing engineering residues and oxide scales, and achieving a uniform and consistent metallic luster surface with a certain degree of smoothness. This facilitates stress relief and improves the surface coating quality and corrosion resistance of the workpieces. To ensure easy passage of the workpieces, the conveyor system adopts a crawler drive, allowing for one-time through cleaning.

III. Structural Principle and Adjustment for Use
This machine is a high-performance shot blasting and cleaning equipment with a crawler conveyor system. During the cleaning process, the speed-regulating motor drives the conveyor crawler to feed the workpiece into the blasting area of the cleaning chamber. The workpiece is subjected to the impact and friction from dense and powerful shot particles coming from different directions of the spatial structure, causing the oxide rust and dirt on it to quickly fall off. The surface of the workpiece obtains a certain degree of roughness and smoothness. At the same time, due to the dense and powerful impact, the stress on the workpiece is eliminated, preventing deformation.
During the cleaning process, the scattered shot-dust mixture is collected by the chamber's feeding screw conveyor and directed to the lower shell of the elevator. It then passes through the elevator and conveyor to reach the separator, where a shot-dust waterfall is generated. The dust is removed by wind blowing, and the separated clean shot falls into the separator hopper. The cleaned shot is then thrown out by the shot blasting machine through the shot conveying system.

The pulse cartridge filter achieves a dust removal efficiency of up to 99%. After purification, the air is discharged into the atmosphere, with particulate dust being captured and collected.
This equipment consists of the following components: main and auxiliary cleaning chambers, sweeping device, shot blasting machine, conveyor system, shot chute, elevator, separator, shot conveying system, dust removal system, electrical control system, etc.

The belt-through shot blasting machine is a commonly used cleaning equipment in the casting industry, widely applied for tasks such as sand removal and rust elimination on castings. However, prolonged use can lead to wear and malfunctions, affecting production efficiency. 1. Daily Cleaning and Inspection
Before starting daily operations, inspect the surface of the conveyor belt for any foreign objects or entanglements, and promptly remove any trapped iron slag or debris. After work, open the dust collector box to clean the filter elements to prevent dust accumulation from affecting the dust removal efficiency. Additionally, check the wear condition of the shroud and blades of the shot blasting machine. Replace them immediately if the wear exceeds one-third of their original thickness.
II. Lubrication and Component Maintenance
Apply lubricating oil weekly to components such as the mesh belt wheel shaft and shot blasting machine bearings, preferably using No. 3 lithium grease. Inspect the chain tension of the elevator monthly and adjust the chain tension device as needed. For the shot blasting machine's protective plates, replace them immediately upon detecting cracks or wear to prevent damage to the equipment caused by projectile leakage.
3. Electrical System Maintenance
Regularly check whether the motor wiring is loose and whether the contactor contacts are oxidized. Clean the dust inside the control cabinet quarterly to maintain proper heat dissipation. Pay special attention to inspecting the grounding resistance of the shot blasting machine motor to ensure safe grounding. If the equipment suddenly stops, first check whether the emergency stop button has been reset, then troubleshoot the circuit fault.
4. Shot Peening Parameter Adjustment
Adjust the shot peening time and angle according to the workpiece material. For castings with high hardness, the peening time can be appropriately extended. Calibrate the direction sleeve angle of the shot peening machine monthly to ensure uniform distribution of shot particles. Monitor the shot peening volume closely. If the volume suddenly decreases, it may indicate valve blockage or insufficient shot supply, requiring immediate cleaning or replenishment.
V. Safety Operation Standards
It is strictly prohibited to open the protective door while the equipment is in operation. Before maintenance, the main power supply must be disconnected, and warning signs must be posted. Operators must wear safety goggles and dust masks to prevent injury from flying debris. Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the equipment weekly, maintain detailed maintenance records, promptly address minor malfunctions to prevent small issues from escalating into major failures.
