ENEC Certification
ENEC is an abbreviation for European Norms Electrical Certification, meaning European Standard Electrical Certification. The ENEC mark signifies safety because it is based not only on type testing conducted by qualified certification bodies but also on continuous control over the manufacturer's production processes. Furthermore, the use of the ENEC mark is monitored by European manufacturers' and consumer organizations, as well as official testing bodies.
Compared to previous certification methods, the advantages of ENEC certification are obvious:
1. Completing a single testing and certification process yields the necessary certification (ENEC) for access to the entire European market, saving significant time and costs.
2. The ENEC mark's applicability has expanded from EU (European Community) and EFTA (European Free Trade Association) countries to Eastern European countries.
3. Choosing a single certification body provides the required (complete) certification (ENEC), simplifying the certification process.
4. Freedom of choice among numerous certification bodies.
5. One certification contract can replace multiple previous certification contracts.
ENEC Certification Process:
1. Sign a quotation and pay the initial payment.
2. Provide the corresponding number of samples.
3. Provide the following technical documents:
Client application form
Critical components list
Circuit diagram
License of critical components
PCB layout (copper foil diagram)
Marking and labeling (both sides)
Transformer Specification
User manual
Exploding Drawing
Others
4. Product testing (if the test fails, Luxshare Lab will provide rectification or assist the client in rectification).
5. If the test passes, issue a report and submit it directly to TUV.
6. Arrange a factory audit.
7. Issue a draft report.
8. Confirm the draft and arrange the official certificate report.
Note: ENEC has high requirements for products, and the technical documents required are extensive. The factory audit requirements are also high, and may even include information on the manufacturers of basic testing instruments used in the production line and engineering processes. Therefore, some hiccups may occur during the certification process. To avoid delays caused by these issues, it's best to mitigate problems as early as possible during the initial sample production stage and allow sufficient time for rectification.
