Direct-acting, 3-way directional valve (port 1 closed, port 2 to port 3 open) is used as a switching device, commonly used in medium flow hydraulic circuits. They can be used alone or to drive larger flow pilot-operated directional valves or logic valves. The valve switches when the pressure difference between port 1 and port 3 exceeds the set value.
