Introduction to PA66:
Polyamide, commonly known as nylon (Nylon), is the general term for thermoplastic resins with repeating amide groups —[NHCO]— in their main molecular chain. It includes aliphatic PA, aliphatic-aromatic PA, and aromatic PA. Among these, aliphatic PA has a wide variety of types, large production volume, and extensive applications, with its naming determined by the specific number of carbon atoms in the synthetic monomers.
Halogen-free flame retardant PA66:
Due to the addition of flame retardants in PA, most flame retardants are prone to decompose at high temperatures, releasing acidic substances that can corrode metals. Therefore, plasticized components (such as screws, glue heads, glue rings, glue washers, flanges, etc.) must undergo hard chrome plating. In terms of process control, it is essential to avoid excessively high barrel temperatures and injection speeds to prevent decomposition of the material due to excessive temperature, which could lead to discoloration and reduced mechanical properties of the finished product.
