Fiber reinforced TPU refers to thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber (TPU) with added glass fibers. The addition of glass fibers brings various performance changes to TPU

withstand greater external forces and be less prone to fracture or deformation. For example, it has obvious advantages in industrial accessory applications that require high-strength support. At the same time, the hardness increases and the wear resistance is further improved, making it suitable for scenarios with high wear resistance requirements, such as sports equipment components.

Thermal performance improvement:

With the increase of hot deformation temperature, fiber-reinforced TPU can maintain shape stability in higher temperature environments and will not rapidly soften or deform due to temperature rise, expanding its application range in high-temperature environments, such as some automotive engine peripheral components.

Enhanced dimensional stability:

Glass fiber restricts the movement of TPU molecular chains, resulting in smaller dimensional changes in fiber-reinforced TPU products under different environmental conditions, improving product accuracy and making them suitable for manufacturing parts with strict requirements for dimensional accuracy.

However, TPU with added fibers also has some shortcomings, such as reduced material flowability due to the addition of glass fibers, which increases processing difficulty. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the process parameters appropriately during the processing.
