I. Functional Features

Output Control Function

As a solid-state relay output module, the RO3451 is mainly used in non-critical output switching application scenarios. It is equipped with a solid-state relay inside, which can be connected to signal indication panels and similar devices. The module has 32 output points, and the output points are shared in pairs, enabling stable signal output control.

Electrical Parameter CharacteristicsVoltage Range

The nominal input voltage is ±24V, with a wide operating voltage range of ±30V, and the maximum switching voltage peak can reach ±33V. This broad voltage adaptability allows it to work stably in industrial environments with different voltage conditions.

Power and Current

The maximum switching power under resistive load is 15W. The nominal current of each channel is 0.5A, and the maximum overcurrent is 0.7A. At a current of 0.5A, the backplane voltage drop is less than 0.25V. In addition, the backplane is equipped with a 0.75A fast-blow fuse for each output, which is used for overcurrent protection to ensure circuit safety.

Diagnostic and Reliability DesignFault Diagnosis

It has the capability of continuous diagnosis for each channel, enabling it to sensitively detect and report faults. Once a fault is detected in any channel, the fault indicator light is activated to trigger an alarm, reminding staff to handle it in a timely manner and ensuring real-time monitoring of the system's operating status.

Fault Tolerance

It has single-fault tolerance capability, ensuring normal operation even if a single fault occurs; in some cases, it may continue to operate even in the face of multiple faults. At the same time, it supports the use of hot standby modules, which further enhances the system's redundancy and continuous operation capability, and reduces system downtime caused by module faults.

Installation Security

It adopts a mechanical keying design, which can effectively prevent improper installation on the configured backplane and improve the system's stability and reliability from the perspective of hardware installation.

Isolation Characteristics

It performs excellently in terms of electrical isolation: the minimum isolation voltage between the functional ground and the protective ground is 500Vdc, and the minimum isolation voltage between the functional ground and the functional ground (logic) is 800Vdc. The strong isolation performance can effectively avoid electrical interference between different circuits and improve the module's working stability in complex electrical environments.

II. Application Fields

Oil and Gas Industry

In the production, storage, and transportation processes of oil and gas, the RO3451 is used to ensure the safe operation of various links. For example, at oil well drilling sites, it can control the opening and closing of various valves, and accurately execute output switching operations according to signals such as pressure and flow feedback from sensors, ensuring the stability of the production process and preventing safety accidents and production interruptions caused by equipment failures.
