Working Principle
Power Monitoring: The module continuously monitors the power quality of two input power sources (main power supply and backup power supply), including parameters such as voltage and current. When the voltage or current of one of the power sources exceeds the preset range, the module will determine that the power source is abnormal.
Automatic Switching: Under normal circumstances, the AP4423 supplies power to the connected load equipment from the main power supply. If the main power supply fails or exceeds the set power range, the module will automatically switch the load to the backup power supply, and the switching process is "seamless" for the connected equipment. Regardless of whether there is a phase difference, it can safely switch between the two input power sources without causing interruption to the operation of the load.
Switching Time Control: The switching time is related to the sensitivity setting. In the high-sensitivity setting, the entire switching process takes a maximum of 10 milliseconds, and in the low-sensitivity setting, it takes a maximum of 12 milliseconds, which can meet the requirements of different equipment for power switching speed.
Redundancy Alarm: If the unused power supply is abnormal, the module will generate an alarm to prompt the user that the redundant power supply has been lost, so that the user can take measures in time. If a priority power supply is set, when the priority power supply returns to normal after an abnormality, the module will automatically switch back to the priority power supply for power supply after waiting 30 seconds to monitor its stability.
Current Monitoring and Protection: The module has a current monitoring function, which can real-time monitor the total load current of the entire power distribution unit and display it through a digital display screen. When the current is close to the rated maximum current of the module, it will provide a visual warning to help users avoid circuit overload. It also has 10kAIC overcurrent protection to protect equipment in the event of a major overcurrent incident.
Remote Management: The module has a built-in network connection function, supporting remote management through Web, SNMP, SSH, Telnet, or StruxureWare Data Center Expert. Users can access, configure, and monitor the module through the network remotely, facilitating real-time mastery of the power status and performing related operations.
