Product Overview
TSXPBY10 is a dedicated backup battery module for Modicon Premium PLCs. When the main power supply is interrupted, it can maintain the operation of the real-time clock in the CPU module and the preservation of RAM data (such as program variables, configuration parameters, etc.), preventing data loss and ensuring that the system can quickly resume normal operation after the power supply is restored.
Technical Parameters

  • Battery Type: 3.6V lithium battery (usually ER17335 model).

  • Capacity: Approximately 2000mAh.

  • Service Life: The typical service life is 5 years at room temperature (25°C), and the life will be shortened in high-temperature environments (e.g., about 1 year at 60°C).

  • Operating Temperature: -20°C to +70°C (storage and operating range).

  • Installation Position: Directly installed in the battery slot of Modicon Premium series CPU modules (such as TSX Premium CPU), without additional wiring.

  • Replacement Prompt: When the battery power is low, the CPU module will prompt for replacement through indicator lights or system alarms to avoid data loss.

  • Data Protection: After the main power supply is cut off, it supplies power to the CPU's RAM memory and real-time clock, preventing the loss of program data, operating parameters, and time information.

  • System Reliability: Ensures that key data of the PLC is not lost after a sudden power failure, and can continue to operate in the original state after the power supply is restored, reducing manual intervention.

  • Notes on Replacement and Maintenance

  • Replacement Timing: It is recommended to replace the battery when the PLC system is powered off. If hot-swap is required, it must be completed within 30 seconds (to avoid loss of RAM data due to excessive power-off time).

  • Installation Direction: Pay attention to the battery polarity, and install it correctly according to the marks in the module slot to avoid damage to the equipment due to reverse connection.

  • Environmental Protection Handling: Waste batteries are hazardous waste and must be properly disposed of in accordance with local environmental regulations, and must not be discarded at will.

  • Compatibility: Only applicable to Modicon Premium series CPU modules, and incompatible with other series of PLCs (such as Modicon M340, Quantum).
