Check terminal connections and retighten screws to ensure tight contact between wires and terminals.

Check the module specification to confirm the input signal type (AC/DC voltage, current, etc.) and range (e.g., 0 - 1000V), and adjust the external signal source or add a signal conditioner

Use a multimeter to measure the voltage on both sides of the isolation device. If there is input on one side but no output on the other, the module or isolation component needs to be replaced (it is recommended to be operated by professionals).

Use a multimeter to detect the input voltage of the power supply and ensure it is within the allowable range of the module (refer to the specification, such as 24V DC±10%).

Check the power polarity and correct the wiring error (usually, red is positive and black is negative).

Cause: The input voltage exceeds the rated range (e.g., the 24V DC power supply fluctuates below 18V), or the power polarity is reversed.

Solution:

Remove the module housing (if allowed), observe whether the capacitor is damaged, and replace it with a capacitor of the same specification (such as 100μF/50V).

If the voltage regulator chip (such as LM7824) fails, a professional is required to replace the chip or the entire module.

Disconnect the module from the external circuit, use a multimeter to detect the load resistance, and eliminate the short-circuit fault (such as damaged sensor cable grounding).

Confirm whether the load current is within the allowable range of the module. If it is overloaded, a relay needs to be added or a module with higher power needs to be replaced.

Replace the PTC resistor (such as 10Ω/2A) or TVS diode (such as 5.0SMDJ60CA). If the component cannot be located, it is recommended to return it to the factory for repair.

Refer to the module manual to confirm the communication parameters (such as the default baud rate of Modbus RTU is 9600bps), and adjust them through configuration software or hardware DIP switches.

Replace the communication cable, use shielded twisted-pair wire and ground it; check the interface pins and repair or replace the interface terminals.

If the interface chip (such as MAX485) is damaged, a professional is required to replace the chip.

Add a cooling fan or cabinet air conditioner to ensure that the working environment temperature of the module meets the standard; avoid direct sunlight or proximity to heating equipment.

The signal cable uses twisted-pair shielded wire and is laid separately from the power cable (the spacing is ≥30cm); the module housing is reliably grounded (the grounding resistance is <4Ω).
