Bently Nevada 3500/93 Display Interface I/O Module
Bently Nevada 3500/93 display interface I/O module
I. Core Functional Features
Data visualization
Real-time display of all channel data within the 3500 system (such as vibration, displacement, rotational speed, etc.),
monitor status, relay module output and key phase/tachometer module information.
Support the display of system event lists and alarm event lists, which can visually present the abnormal status and
historical records of the equipment.
Configuration and interaction
Parameters can be configured through the 3500 framework configuration software, allowing for the customization of
display content, alarm thresholds, and interface layout.
Support local key operation or remote communication interaction (such as connecting to the upper computer through
the communication gateway module).
Ii. Installation Method and Compatibility
Direct frame installation: It needs to be installed in the 15th slot of the 3500mm full-height frame and fixed to the
front panel through hinge support. Not applicable to 3500 small frames.
19-inch EIA rack mounting: Installed on standard EIA rails, up to 100 feet (approximately 30 meters) away from the
3500 system. If an external power supply is used, the distance can be extended to 4,000 feet (approximately 1,219
meters).
Panel installation: Install in the opening of the cabinet panel, up to 100 feet away from the 3500 system. When
powered by an external power supply, it can reach up to 4000 feet.
Independent installation: Directly installed on walls or panels, up to 100 feet away from the 3500 system, and extended
to 4000 feet when powered by an external power supply.
Iii. Power Configuration and Connection
Built-in power supply: Suitable for scenarios where the cable length is ≤ 100 feet, no additional power supply is
required.
External power supply
Supports two specifications: 115Vac or 230Vac. It needs to be used in conjunction with a cable adapter.
When the installation distance exceeds 100 feet, an external power supply must be used to ensure stable signal
transmission.
Power adapter assembly: The external power/terminal strip installation assembly can simplify wiring and improve
installation efficiency.
Iv. Display and Expansion Capabilities
Display unit characteristics
It adopts a backlit display screen, supporting clear display of graphic and text information, and is suitable for strong or
dim environments in industrial sites.
Supports multi-language interface switching (such as English, Chinese, etc.) for convenient local operation.
System expansion
A single 3500 frame can be connected to a maximum of 2 display devices, and each display device needs to occupy
1 3500 frame slot (insert the display interface module DIM).
When installed in a non-direct frame, the cable between DIM and the display device can be connected from the I/O
module on the front/rear panel of the frame, flexibly adapting to different cabinet layouts.
V. Industrial Application Scenarios
Rotating machinery monitoring: It is used for real-time status display of equipment such as steam turbines,
compressors, and fans, assisting operation and maintenance personnel in quickly locating faults.
Remote monitoring system: Data is transmitted to the central control room through long-distance cables or
communication gateway modules to achieve centralized monitoring.
Alarm and protection linkage: In conjunction with the relay module within the system, when abnormal data is
detected, it synchronously triggers the display alarm and equipment protection actions.
Vi. Coordination with other 3500 modules
Communication gateway module with 3500/92: Remote data transmission to PLC or SCADA systems is achieved
through communication protocols (such as Modbus, Ethernet).
In conjunction with monitoring modules (such as the 3500/53 overspeed detection module) : real-time reading and
display of monitoring data such as rotational speed and vibration, forming a complete closed loop of the mechanical
protection system.
Vii. Maintenance and Precautions
Regular calibration: It is recommended to calibrate the display accuracy annually to ensure data accuracy.
Environmental adaptability: The operating temperature range is typically -20℃ to +55℃. It is necessary to avoid damp,
dusty and strong electromagnetic interference environments.
Redundant design: Dual display devices can be configured for critical scenarios to enhance system reliability.
