Instrument introduction
This instrument is intended to measure the scuffing load capacity of oils used to lubricate hardened steel gears. Scoring, a form of abrasive wear. It is primarily used to assess the resistance to scuffing of mild additive treated oils such as industrial gear oils, transmission fluids, and hydraulic fluids.
An FZG Gear Test Machine is operated at constant speed (1450 rpm) for a fixed period (21700 revolutions-approximately 15 min) at successively increasing loads until the failure criteria is reached; the initial oil temperature is 90°C beginning at load stage four. The test gears are examined initially and after the prescribed duration at each load stage for cumulative damage (scuffing) to the gear tooth flanks.

Main Feature
1. The machine is a kind of power closed-loop structure, and the loading method adopts the way of hanging weights on the loading rod.
2. The spindle drive of the testing machine
3. The panel of electric control cabinet is divided into three parts, the electric control part is equipped with power supply and motor switch control buttons; the temperature measurement part is equipped with two intelligent meters; the time and revolution measurement part is equipped with display windows showing the time and revolution, and devices such as clearing and presetting.
4. The heating of specimen and the control of temperature are realised by temperature control table and power regulator.
5. Toggle the dial under the display window of revolutions to preset the motor revolutions; press "Zero" key to clear the revolutions displayed on the display window of revolutions.
6. The dial under the time display window can preset the test time; press "reset" button to clear the number on the time display window.
7. If the gear tooth breaks or the load on the gear increases abnormally during the test, the overload automatic protection device will stop automatically.
