Hastelloy G-3 (UNS N06985 / W.Nr. 2.4619) is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. It has good weldability and resistance to intergranular corrosion in the welded condition. The low carbon content helps prevent sensitization and consequent intergranular corrosion of weld heat-affected zones. Used for flue-gas scrubbers and for handling phosphoric and sulfuric acids.

Hastelloy G-30 (UNS N06230 / W.Nr. 2.4603) is an improved version of nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum-copper alloy G-3. With higher chromium added cobalt and tungsten, the G-30 shows superior corrosion resistance over most other nickel and iron based alloys in commercial phosphoric acids as well as complex environments containing highly oxidizing acids. The resistance of the alloy to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the heat-affected zone makes it suitable for use in most chemical process applications in the as-welded condition.

Hastelloy G-35 (UNS N06035 / W.Nr. 2.4643) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy designed to resist "wet process" phosphoric acid, which is used in the production of fertilizers. Similar to Hastelloy G-30, Hastelloy G-35 alloy also has excellent resistance to localized attack in the presence of chlorides, since this can be a problem beneath deposits in evaporators used to concentrate "wet process" phosphoric acid. Besides, it is much less susceptible to chloride-­induced stress corrosion cracking than the stainless steels and nickel-­chromium-­iron alloys traditionally used in "wet process" phosphoric acid.
