Description

DOLPHON CV-1108 is a two-component epoxy based compound specifically formulated for balancing the rotors of

electric motors.

It has an excellent adhesion to the metal surfaces, withstands severe mechanical conditions and can be machined

together with the materials to which it is bonded.

Operates at temperatures between -40°C and +130°C.

Processing guidelines

Mix components in a ratio 1:1 (by weight or by volume) with a quite wide tolerance on the weight (± 10%)

Mix together component A and B with a spatula until a homogeneous green colour is reached. The mixed system has a

pot life of 4 hours at 25°C.

Apply on the rotor with a spatula or manually and press on the area for a good adhesion.

The paste will start to harden after 4 hours.

DOLPHON CV-1108 cures in a wide temperature range (15°C to 80°C) and its final properties are reached in

according to the temperature

Process can be speeded up by a post curing process of 2 hours at 80°C

Storage conditions

DOLPHON CV-1108 tends to harden especially when stored at temperatures below 15°C. It is possible to soften the

material by heating at 40-50°C for 24 hours and then recondition at room temperature before mixing.

Shelf life is 18 months at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C.
