AQUA-THERM® BC-365 WATER VARNISH
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AQUA-THERM BC-365 is a water soluble modified polyester varnish. This environmentally friendly
varnish was especially developed for its excellent stability.

Systems to 220°C
APPLICATION
The following cycle is suggested as a starting point in the treatment of most units and should
be considered as a guide only.
1. Preheat part to 220°F.
2. Cool to 110°F.
3. Immerse in varnish 5-20 minutes.
4. Drain for 5-20 minutes.
5. Bake *4-6 hours @ 275°F, or *2-4 hours @ 300°F, or *1-3 hours @ 325°F.
*Times are taken after unit reaches baking temperature.
THINNING AND VARNISH MAINTENANCE
For best results, BC-365 should be thinned before use with normal tap water. A recommended starting point is 35% solids.
Thinning with one part water to one part varnish will produce approximately 35% solids. After thinning, the pH should be
checked with a pH meter. If necessary, the pH should then be adjusted to 9-10 with DOLPH’S VM-3008 pH adjuster. If
the pH of local tap water is low, DOLPH’S T-362 Thinner may be used for thinning
