Description
Flame-retardant epoxy potting resin, prefilled, free of halogen.
The resin part is available in black (CB-1123A), white (CZ-1123A), yellow (CY-1123A). The hardener is clear (RE-
2023) or available in blue (RE-2023-X).
Application
Potting, casting of stators, coils, transformers, electric and electronic components.
Processing guidelines
The resin must be stirred prior use, as it contains fillers which may settle during storage. Avoid air introduction during stirring.
A preheating of the parts and/or of the resin may improve the encapsulation. A vacuum processing enhances the
dielectric and mechanical properties.Mixing can be done by a metering-dispensing machine equipped with a dynamic mixer or manually.
The full curing takes place after minimum 8h at 25°C.This process can be accelerated with a higher temperature: for instance 3h at 60°C will complete the polymerization in 3 hours. Do not exceed 60-65°C.
The gel time and the curing time depend on the mixed volume, the temperature and the thickness of the layer. Final properties are depending on the curing level.

Resin: 12 months in original sealed packaging, at maximum 25°C, protected from moisture. A storage above 25°C will increase the settling. Higher temperature can be achieved during short period of time.
Hardener: 12 months in original sealed packaging, at maximum 25°C, protected from moisture. Higher temperature can be achieved during short period of time.
