German technical background VOK®-AP 110 wax dispersion
VOK®-AP 110 Solventborne Wax Dispersion for Solventborne Special Effect Coatings without Aromatic Solvents
VOK®-AP 110 is a wax dispersion that improves special effect pigment orientation, thereby increasing the metallic isochromatic effect and, in addition, reducing the tendency of pigment to settle.
The additive mixes easily and minimizes transient film defects (spots, Bernard vortices). It is the ideal additive for all special effects coatings that do not contain aromatic solvents.
Chemical composition: ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer wax dispersion
Solvent: Butyl acetate/butanol
Dosage of additives: 50 % of the amount of solid resin
Typical physicochemical data: Non-volatile: 6 %
Melting point (wax): 100 °C
