BNP Associates, Inc., a leading consultant in the airport baggage handling industry, has approved SEW-EURODRIVE’S MOVIGEAR® mechatronic drive system and DRC.. electronic motor for use on their projectsMOVIGEAR is a highly efficient all-in-one drive solution that combines a synchronous permanent-magnet motor, helical gearing, and VFD in an ergonomically designed unit.
The DRC.. electronic motor combines integrated electronics with a synchronous permanent-magnet motor that can be used with SEW-EURODRIVE efficient gear units.
Independent research has proven a 20-30% energy saving when using MOVIGEAR; however, actual installations have shown energy savings of 50% and more in some cases.
The BNP approval was awarded based on a rigorous testing and evaluation process that was performed in strict compliance with BNP's Denver-based division. A MOVIGEAR unit and a DRC.. electronic motor mounted to a KT49 gear unit were each placed in operation for one million cycles under full load conditions without failure or wear.
