On July 27 local time, the office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) released a list of extended exemption periods (16 billion US dollars of goods in the list), mainly for some Chinese goods in the exclusion list published on July 31, 2019 and valid until July 31, 2020, and the exemption period is extended to December 31, 2020. The original tariff exclusion list contains 69 categories of goods, of which 14 categories can be extended to December 31, 2020.
