The products involved in the case are the non alloy or alloy aluminum tubes of 3xxx series and 6xxx series (including rolled aluminum tubes) whose outer tube diameter is less than or equal to 130 mm and specified in article 681 of IRAM national standard of Argentina (including rolled aluminum tubes), but it does not include 3xxx series precision drawn tube. This type of aluminum tube is precision draw tubing after annealing heat treatment according to DIN EN 573-3 standard. The case involved products under the codes of 7608.10.00 and 7608.20.90 of the customs of nangong city.

On May 7, 2019, according to the Announcement No. 48 of the Ministry of production and labor of Argentina on May 6, 2019, Argentina initiated an anti-dumping investigation on aluminum tubes originating in China and Brazil. On November 11, 2019, according to the Announcement No. 1185 of the Ministry of production and labor of Argentina on November 8, 2019, Argentina made an affirmative preliminary determination on China and Brazil aluminum tubes.
