QDG3-A2155 air engaged caliper disc brake for cable machine
QDG3-A2155 air engaged caliper disc brake is flange mounted friction type brake. Normally, this brake is in releasing, after supplying air pressure, two friction linings clamp together, brake is locked, it is used for braking disk stopping.
There are two models of it: QDG3-A2155, QDG3.5-A2158. They can produce high braking force after inputting air source.
Following is the detail technical data of this type brake:
As to above technical data, it is shown that brake QDG3-A2155 for braking plate thickness 25.4mm, and QDG3.5-A2158 for friction panel thickness 40mm. This character is the same with caliper disc brake QDE-3 and QDE-4. These two models of brake QDG3-A2155, QDG3.5-A2158 equiped with 3# and 3.5# cylinder head in separately.
On the other hand, new friction pad thickness is 8mm for one piece, max total abrasion of two friction pads is 10mm. When panel diameter is 610mm, QDG-3 clamping force is 3000N.m, QDG-3.5 is 4500N.m; When plate diameter is 1370mm, QDG-3 clamping force is 7800N.m, QDG-3.5 is 11800N.m. So when braking disk diameter is larger, it produce braking force is higher, too.
