The flue gas will be discharged from high end . The material is being heated during the moving process of material,after physical and chemical change, the qualified finished products after the sintering will be discharged from low end . installation The rotary kiln belongs to the category of rotary drum,industrial furnace is one of non-standard equipments,there is firebrick lining and heat exchange device,rotate with low speed. In general,material and hot air always countercurrent flow, feed the material from high end of kiln(also called as cold side),discharge from low end . Heating source(electricity /gas), during the rotation,the material in the kiln moves along the axis when it tumbles along the circumference because of slanting.
The rotary kiln will be classified according to material:
1.Metallurgical rotary kiln: this kiln is mainly used for magnetizing roast of lean iron ore in the steel plant of metallurgical industry, oxidizing roasting of Chromium, Nickel-iron ore,the calcination of high alumina bauxite ore in the refractory material factory, the calcination of clinker, aluminium hydroxide in the aluminium manufacturer, the production of pellet which is used for blast furnace iron-making .
2.Chemical rotary kiln: it is used for the firing of chrome ore sand and chrome ore powder, the calcination of phosphate fertilizer,bariumsulfide, etc.
3.Rotary cement kiln: besides the calcination of cement clinker, this kiln is used for the calcination of clay, limestone and drying of mineral waste residue,etc.
4.Lime kiln( namely, actively lime kiln): it is used for the burning of active lime and light-burned dolomite in the steel plant and ferroalloy works.
