*MSFP-4 Intelligent Protector for Crown Block

General Description     

MSFP-4 is an electronic controlled instrument with very stable structure; it is used for controlling the up and down moving of the traveling block in the preset limit range. It is displayed by both digits and diagram, the traveling location is real-time displayed to the operator, the system is composed of a main machine, encoder and a pneumatic solenoid value.

There are 2 display screens on the panel of the main machine, both are used for indicating the position of the traveling block in real-time. When the traveling is beyond the preset up and down limits, the pneumatic solenoid value is actuated by the main machine, the main shaft is disengaged with the clutch and automatically braked. After the brake is actuated and press down the brake release button, the main machine ignores the preset up and down limits and the traveling block is allowed to surpass the up and down limits. The main machine control desk should be installed in the place where it can be easily seen by the drilling workers. When the system is programmed or the time limit of up and down moving is bypassed by the drilling workers, it is necessary to visit the control/display console.

There is a micro-processor installed in the main machine (master computer) and an encoder is placed at the rotating shaft of the draw works, by which the electric signals related with the motion of the drawworks are transmitted to the microprocessor. The position of the traveling block is displayed as digits and diagrams. If it is over the preset upper and lower limits, the solenoid value is actuated, the main shaft is disconnected with clutch and the brake is started and indicated by flashing. If the traveling block on the position of 5%upper and lower limits of time, a warming is given to remind the operator.
