Configuration

Use the parameters in the Configuration dialog box to control the Product Editor default settings. Once a configuration change is made, the change af-fects the way the Product Editor appears or functions. How long the changes remain in effect depends on how the Configuration dialog box is exited:

If the Save and then the OK buttons are selected, the changes remain in effect until changed again. This becomes the new default configuration.

If the OK button is selected without first selecting the Save button, the changes remain in effect until the Product Editor is closed or until a new product is created. Reopening the Product Editor or creating a new product reinstates the default configuration last saved.
The following elements can be defined in the Configuration dialog box.

If the Auto-load configuration option is saved as Yes and, for any reason the product that was last open is corrupted, the Product Editor ‘hangs’ as it attempts to perform the auto-load. If this happens, push and hold the [F3] key as soon as the Product Editor begins to open. This deactivates the Auto-Load function and allows the Product Editor to be opened without recalling a product. The Auto-Load configuration option must then be saved as No or a different product must be open when the Product Editor is exited.

Show Titlebar: Titlebars identify the various windows displayed by the Product Editor. They also allow these windows to be moved. However, since titlebars take up space, they can be removed by selecting No. It is advisable to leave titlebars displayed by selecting Yes.

Insert Delay Interval: The insert delay interval defines the time in seconds between components when Show Insertion Path is performed. Changing this interval does not affect machine performance, only how fast the insertion path is illustrated.

List Box Selection: There are two ways to select items in list boxes: using Extended selection mode or Multiple selection mode.
-Extended: Only one item can be selected unless the [Ctrl] key is held. Holding the [Ctrl] key allows additional items to be selected. To deselect an item in this mode, hold the [Ctrl] key and reselect the item. This mode supports the drag-and-select oper
