Application of Mullite:

 

Mullite can be employed in the field of refractories, ceramics, metallurgy, casting, electronics, with features of high temperature, high strength thermal conductivity, good energy-saving effect. Mullite is suitable for medium petroleum cracking furnace, metallurgy stove, ceramics roller kiln, tunnel kiln, porcelain drawer kiln, crucible furnace and all kinds of electric furnace as lining. Mullite can direct contact with the flame.

 

 

Mullite Characteristics:


Mullite raw material is a high quality refractory with a uniform expansion, excellent thermal shock resistance, high softening point load, small high temperature creep, good hardness, good chemical resistance.


Mullite Solid Solution:


X-rays on natural and synthetic mullite, and found that there are three different cell axis ratio of mullite presence, namely alpha- mullite, beta and gamma- mullite.


Synthetic Mullite Categories:


There are many types of Synthetic mullite. By the method of synthesis, it can be sintering mullite and fused mullite; according to the chemical composition of the raw material, it can be low aluminum mullite, aluminum mullite, high alumina mullite and zircon mullite; according to the raw materials, it can be calcined kaolin (low aluminum), calcined kyanite (aluminum), natural mullite (high alumina) and high-purity mullite.
