What is UY2 Connector ?
UY2 butt connector (TP-1310-UY2) the small size of the UY2 connector reduces the splicing bundle O.D. The connector’s two ports accept two solid or stranded copper conductors. The connector is filled with a sealant to provide moisture resistance.It is employs an insulation displacement contact (IDC) so that stripping of the conductor insulation prior to installation is not required,and easily installed and crimped using any of the connector crimping tools (TP-5931-311, you can visit details here )
It is applied to telephone wiring connection. The butt connector is designed for 0.4mm-0.9mm solid copper cables with max insulation diameters 2.08mm.
The connector is filled with a moisture resistant compound in order to provide moisture proof connections.The connector can provide total environmental sealing around IDC-contacts.
