FEP Electrical Cable is German Standards cable used in ground, outdoors, indoors and in cable ducts.
2. Brief Introduction to FEP and Similar Material
The processing of fluoroplastic is not easy, but we successfully overcome this technical difficulty, and this material is used to make our fluoroplastics insulated heat-resistant power cable. Due to the superb stability of fluoroplastic, our product features stable electrical performance, and it is also resistance to acid, alkali, oil, corrosion, water, aging, corrosive gas, high temperature, etc.
Teflon (PTFE) and FEP (FluorEthylenePropylene) are very similar in composition of fluoropolymers PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene) and PFA (PerFluoroAlkoxy polymer resin). FEP and PFA both share PTFE’s useful properties of low friction and non-reactivity but are more easily formable.
FEP is softer than PTFE and melts at 260°C; it is highly transparent and resistant to sunlight. Thermally, FEP stands out from PTFE and PFA by having a melting point of 260°C, around forty degrees lower than PFA and lower again than PTFE.
Thus FEP and Teflon are ideal insulation materials for wire and cables where the cable is exposed to environment:
- Resistant to Fire
- Chemicals, Acids
- Sunlight
- Moisture
- Corona
- High Voltage
- Temperature range -65°C to 220°C
- Applicable standards JSS 51034 and MIL 16878-D
Electrically, PTFE, FEP and PFA have identical dielectric constants, but FEP’s dielectric strength is only surpassed by PFA. We are offering single core wires and multi-core cables in user specific design.

8. Qualification for High Temperature Electric Power Cable with Teflon | PTFE | FEP | PFA | Fluoroplastic Insulation
1. The DC resistance of this FEP PFA Teflon heat-resistant power cable is in accordance with GB 3956.
2. The insulation resistivity at 20℃ is higher than 500MΩ•km.
3. The end product is detected by the voltage withstand test, and it should not be damaged during the 5-minute-testing. Additionally, the test voltage is 3.5kV AC, and the frequency is 50Hz.
With Yiteng, all cables are produced by strict inspection and testing:
1). Raw Material: Copper, Aluminium, PVC, PE and XLPE granules and all other materials for producing cables are all inspected carefully automatically. Only the qualified will be applied into cable production, the disqualified will be rejected.
2). Production Procedure: Cables in Yiteng are produced by advanced cable production machines.
3). Testing: Cables in Yiteng will not be packed until they are tested totally qualified. Cable Testing Machines includes Online Core Shift Detection Device, Tension Tester, Aging Test Chamber, Experimental Apparatus of Combustion, Insulation Resistance Tester and etc…
4). Package and Shippment:
