Copper Conductor Shielded|Screened Control Cable with PVC Insulation and Steel Wire Armour or without Armour
1. Application for Multi-Core Shielded | Screened PVC Insulated Electric Control Cable:
The PVC Insulated Control Cable is designed for connection wires of power distribution equip-ments for controlling, monitoring, protecting
circuits with A .C. rated voltage 450/750V and below.
2. Manufacturing Standards for Multi-Core Shielded | Screened PVC Insulated Electric Control Cable :
ASTM ICEA BS DIN IEC GB AS/NZS etc.
3. Operating Features for Multi-Core Shielded | Screened PVC Insulated Electric Control Cable:
a). The maximum permissible continuous operating temperature is 70℃
b). The lowest installation temperature of the cable is 0℃ .
c). Permissible Min. Bending radius not less than 6 times of the completed cable diameter for unarmoured cable; not less than 12 times of the completed cable diameter for armoured or copper tape screened cable; not less than 6 times of the completed cable diameter for screened flexible cable.

Generally speaking, there are two ways of copper wires braided screen and copper tape wrapped screen for control cables, however, copper wires braided screen has stable structure, the effect of screen won’t change with the cable bending or appearance factors etc, but also doesn’t have influence on cables’ flexibility, braiding density can reach over 80%, besides,copper tape wrapped screen percentage of coverage can reach up to 100%.
Plastic PVC Insulated Screened control Cables are used for rated voltage up to and including 450/750V.
The long-term operating temperature of PVC insulation cable conductor should be lower than 70°C,and that of XLPE insulation should be lower than 90°C.
The installing ambient temperature of cables shouldn’t be lower than 0°C,the Min. bending radius of installing is 6 times of the outer diameter.
