Grinding Mills Application
Grinding Mill is the key equipment for grinding after the crushing process, which is widely used in the
manufacture industries, such as cement, silicate, new building material, refractory material, fertilizer, ferrous
metal, nonferrous metal and glass ceramics and can be used for the dry and wet grinding for all kinds of ores
and other grindable materials.
Grinding Mills Working principle
The material spirally and evenly enters into the first warehouse of the grinding mill along the input material
hollow axis by input material device.
In this warehouse, there is a ladder scale board or ripple scale board, and different specification steel balls are
installed on the scale board. When the barrel body rotates and then produces centrifugal force, at this time,
the steel ball is carried to some height and falls to grind and strike the materials.
After being grinded coarsely in the first warehouse, the material then enter into the second warehouse for
regrinding with the steel ball and scale board. In the end, the power is discharged by output material board
and the end products are competed.
Grinding Mills features
1) According to the length and diameter of the cylinder, the gringing mills can be classified as th
e following types: (a)Short ball mill; (b)Middle length ball mill; (c) Long ball mill.
(2) According to whether it can be successive operated, the gridning
mills is divided into continuous grinding machine and intermittent grinding machine.
(3) According to its transmission way, it is sorted as centre drive grinding machine and Edge transmission grinding machine.
(4) According to its discharging way, it can be divided as the end discharge type ball mill and the Mi
ddle discharging type ball mill.
(5) According to the shape of the grinding medium, it is classified as the ball mill, the rod mill, and the gravel mill.
(6) According to its operating processes, the classification is as below: Dry grinding machine and Wet grindingmachine.
a. Quartz Sand Grinding Mills:
Grinding Mills is a critical equipment in the quartz sand production.
In the processing of quartz sand for glass and ceramics industry, raw materials needed to avoid contamination by other substances, usually with silica liner or white alundum liner, grinding media also need to use White alundum ball or silica ball.
Therefore, SiO2 is the main component of two types of liner and grinding media, avoiding contamination of the processing materials.
Can overflow type or grid type, long or short type, wet ball mill or dry ball mill, sieving grading to control the particle size of materials needed.
b. Limestone Grinding Mills:
Limestone grinding mill is an efficient tool for grinding many materials into fine powder.
It is used to grind many kinds of mine and other materials, or to select the mine. It is widely used in building material, chemical industry, etc. There are two ways of grinding: the dry process and the wet process. It can be divided into tabular type and flowing type according to different forms of discharging material.
c. Cement Grinding Mills:
It is key equipment used for grinding after crushing and its widely used in other manufacturing industries such as glass ceramics, nonferrous metal, ferrous metal, fertilizer, refractory material, new building material, silicate,and cement. It can also be used in wet and dry grinding for grind-able materials and all kinds of ores.
