Skid‑Mounted Seawater Electrolysis Chlorine System for LNG Terminals
1. Product Overview
Port dock seawater electrolysis chlorine generation system is large-flow marine water disinfection equipment for coastal port water intake engineering. Port water intake pipelines are in long-term contact with natural seawater, a large number of shellfish larvae and algae will attach and multiply inside the pipes, resulting in pipeline narrowing, water supply reduction and frequent shutdown dredging. Unlike salt-matched sodium hypochlorite generators, this equipment directly uses natural seawater for electrolysis, omitting salt dissolving equipment and salt warehouse construction, greatly saving port infrastructure investment. The whole machine adopts outdoor rainproof and anti-corrosion skid-mounted design, can be installed beside open-air water intake channels, adapts to large flow water intake demand of container terminals, bulk cargo docks and fishing ports, and simultaneously realizes pipeline anti-fouling and ballast water preliminary disinfection.
2. Technical Principle
Natural seawater from port intake channel is transported to the equipment through water pump, and large particle impurities such as seaweed, gravel and floating objects are intercepted by multi-stage coarse and fine filters. Clean seawater flows into parallel titanium electrolytic cell groups for direct electrolysis. Chloride ions inherent in seawater produce active chlorine through electrochemical reaction. Chlorine-containing seawater is delivered to the front end of water intake pipeline by dosing pump, and active chlorine evenly spreads in the pipeline to kill marine larvae and inhibit biological adhesion. The intelligent control system adjusts electrolysis power in real time according to daily water intake flow and seasonal marine organism reproduction cycle. Electrolytic hydrogen is collected by closed pipeline and safely diluted and discharged to avoid flammable gas accumulation in port equipment area. The system supports timing automatic operation to cope with peak and valley water intake flow changes of ports.
