Triple-effect Forced Circulation Evaporator for Mix Salt Wastewater Treatment
Project Overview
This project involved the treatment of high-salinity mixed salt wastewater containing mainly sodium chloride (NaCl), potassium chloride (KCl), and sodium sulfate (Na₂SO₄), with an initial solid content of approximately 20 wt%.
Based on the characteristics of the feed material, a triple-effect forced circulation evaporator with concurrent and mixed-flow process design was adopted. The concentrated slurry was discharged separately from each evaporation effect, ensuring that the concentrate was maintained at an appropriate temperature during the evaporation process. This design effectively prevented excessive COD enrichment and reduced the risk of heat transfer tube blockage caused by organic matter accumulation.
Process Solution
The wastewater is concentrated through a triple-effect forced circulation evaporation system, increasing the solid content from approximately 20 wt% to 50 wt%.
After reaching the supersaturated condition, the concentrated slurry is transferred to a centrifuge for solid-liquid separation. The separated salt crystals are collected for further treatment, while the mother liquor is recycled back to the evaporator for further concentration.
This closed-loop process enables effective salt recovery, wastewater reduction, and stable long-term operation.
Equipment Features
The supplied evaporation system includes:
Triple-effect forced circulation evaporator
Centrifuge and mother liquor recycling system
Condensate heat recovery system
Vacuum system
PLC automatic control system
Key Advantages
Excellent anti-scaling performance:
Forced circulation technology maintains high flow velocity inside heat exchanger tubes, reducing salt deposition and preventing blockage.
Stable continuous operation:
Optimized circulation design improves heat transfer efficiency and extends operating periods between cleanings.
Energy-efficient operation:
Triple-effect evaporation technology effectively reduces steam consumption through multi-stage vapor utilization.
Flexible salt wastewater treatment:
Suitable for wastewater containing high concentrations of inorganic salts and complex salt mixtures.
System Configuration
The complete system mainly consists of:
Evaporation heaters
Vapor-liquid separators
Forced circulation pumps
Condenser and vacuum system
Centrifugal separation unit
Mother liquor return system
PLC-based automatic control system
The system can be customized according to wastewater characteristics, salt composition, treatment capacity, and final discharge requirements.
