Working Principle:
When gas carrying mist rises through the wire mesh at a certain velocity, the mist droplets collide with fine wires of the mesh due to the inertia of upward-moving mist and adhere to the wire surfaces. Through diffusion of mist droplets on the wire surface and gravitational settling, droplets merge into larger liquid drops which flow along the wires to wire intersection points. Benefiting from the wettability of wires, liquid surface tension and capillary effect of the filaments, liquid drops keep growing. When the gravity of accumulated droplets exceeds the combined upward force of gas flow and liquid surface tension, the droplets separate from the wires and fall down. After passing through the wire mesh demister, the gas is substantially free of mist.
A wire mesh demister mainly consists of wire mesh blocks composed of wire mesh and mesh grids, as well as supporting assemblies for fixing the mesh blocks. The wire mesh refers to gas-liquid demisting mesh made of various materials, which is fabricated from metallic or non-metallic filaments. Non-metallic filaments for gas-liquid demisting mesh can be twisted from multiple strands of non-metallic fiber or adopted as single-strand non-metallic filament. According to different gas-liquid working conditions, our company has developed and manufactured a gas-liquid separation mesh filter element. This separation filter element can remove not only large liquid droplets suspended in airflow, but also small and micro liquid droplets.
